KSA Launches a New Office in New Mexico
ALBUQUERQUE, NM KSA announces the establishment of a new office in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Albuquerque office will provide KSA's full array of municipal and aviation services and is supported by our entire KSA team.
"Our reach into the New Mexico area happened organically," said Joncie Young, PE, Director of Municipal Services. "It is the logical culmination of a series of steps taken over several years."
After successful project experiences with the city of Clovis, the Village of Ruidoso, the City of Deming, the City of Santa Fe, Catron County, and the City of Albuquerque, a solid foundation was built for future work within the state of New Mexico. We also made a key hire with strong ties in the New Mexico area to further solidify our presence.
Abiel Carrillo, PE, CFM, a recent hire, will lead KSA's new Albuquerque office. He has established a well rounded civil engineering foundation that includes both transportation and municipal design. He provided engineering solutions for small, New Mexico municipalities for 11 years before heading the hydrology section of the city of Albuquerque's planning department. There, he worked with developers to coordinate and review storm drain, flood control, and city-wide capacity projects. Carrillo has interacted with senators, state representatives, mayors, council members, tribal authorities, and representatives of governor's offices on behalf of, and alongside, many communities in New Mexico to secure grant funding for roadway improvements. He is invested in New Mexico and has worked there for much of his professional career, nurturing relationships in the area. He is excited to continue to leverage those relationships and cultivate new ones to expand KSA's reach in New Mexico.
KSA's expansion into New Mexico is another step toward strategic growth as it moves forward in 2017.
"Opening this office in Albuquerque is a direct reflection of KSA's initiative to be closer to our growing client base. The closer we are, the easier it is to provide quality services to our clients," said Mitch Fortner, PE, President. "We are excited to widen our presence in the southwest region and optimistic about our future in the great state of New Mexico."
