Gilbane Building Company Promotes Cotie to Project Executive

HOUSTON, TX Gilbane Building Company announces the promotion of Angela Cotie to Project Executive, working out of Gilbane's downtown Houston office. Cotie brings over 18 years of experience in construction services, operations and client relationships to the team. Cotie has extensive experience in planning, implementing and overseeing all phases of small and large construction projects. She has been with Gilbane since 2008 and has been engaged with clients such as Moody Gardens in Galveston, the Houston Zoo, Battlefield Health and Trauma Center in San Antonio, the Sealy Smith Foundation and numerous other high profile projects spanning various market sectors.

"This is a well-deserved recognition of the leadership role that Angela has played since she joined Gilbane", says Dan Gilbane, Southwest Division Leader, "She has been a terrific leader not only on her project sites but also as a mentor and in the community, particularly through her involvement in ACE, and we look forward to more great things to come from her in the future." 

Cotie is a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education in Architectural Engineering and is a LEED Accredited Professional, as well as a Certified Interior Decorator.  She is currently the Chairman for the Houston ACE Mentor Program and most recently is working on a team to support the building playhouse program for Girls, Inc. in Houston. Cutie volunteers her time with other numerous local community organizations throughout the year including Galveston Career Connect, and the Boy Scouts Bay Area Council.
