Dawson Named TSPE Bexar Chapter's 2017 “Young Engineer of the Year

SAN ANTONIO, TX The Bexar Chapter of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) names Trey Dawson, PE, Pape-Dawson Engineers' Vice President, as the "Young Engineer of the Year" for 2017. This prestigious award is presented annually to recognize a young TSPE engineer for his or her technical abilities, professional achievements, as well as civic and humanitarian activities. Dawson will be recognized at the TSPE Proclamation Breakfast. 

Dawson joined Pape-Dawson as a full-time employee in 2009 and has more than eight years of experience in civil engineering. During his career at Pape-Dawson, he has led his team to the successful development of master planned communities, multi-family residential, retail, office, medical, light rail industrial projects, and thousands of single-family residential lots for numerous home builders and developers throughout San Antonio, Texas. 

In addition to TSPE, Dawson is currently serving on the Executive Committee for the San Antonio North Chamber of Commerce. He is also serving the Real Estate Council of San Antonio as a member of the Government Affairs Committee and as a co-chair for the 2016 Leadership Class. Dawson is a board member for the Texas Biomedical Research Institute Founders Council and previously served as Chair for the North East Independent School District Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee. 

"This recognition is a reflection of Trey's dedication to the engineering industry and the community," Pape-Dawson Engineers' Chief Executive Officer, Sam Dawson, PE, said. "We are proud of Trey's hard work and from all of us Pape-Dawson we congratulate him on this honor." 

Dawson holds Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in civil engineering from Texas Tech University. He is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas.
