LAN Expands Healthcare Services in Texas

HOUSTON, TX Planning, engineering and program management firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) is expanding its healthcare services in Texas.
To lead this effort, the firm hired R. Gregg Moon, a national healthcare expert. Moon has more than 30 years of experience as a planner and project manager in healthcare design and architecture. He has planned and developed acute care and specialty departments for hospitals throughout Texas, including University Health System, San Antonio, University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Cook Children's Medical Center, Fort Worth, Texas, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, and the University of Texas Medical Center, Galveston.
"The rapid growth and changes in the healthcare industry requires new design approaches to provide the best care to patients," said Joseph Waterfield, PE, LAN's Vice President. "Gregg has a lifetime of experience developing innovative design solutions to healthcare clients that addresses patients' needs. Under Gregg's leadership, we are looking forward to providing quality design and planning services to hospitals and research facilities throughout Texas."
Moon received his Bachelor of Architecture from Louisiana State University. He also has held several leadership positions with prestigious professional organizations that provide expertise and guidelines for the design and planning of healthcare environments, including the American Institute of Architects, American College of Healthcare Architects, and the Facility Guidelines Institute - Health Guidelines Revision Committee.Â
