FREEPORT, TX Mammoet USA has recently completed an expansion, doubling the size of its site, at the Port of Freeport in Texas. With the Port of Freeport in close proximity to several major job sites, the expansion allows Mammoet to accommodate increased demand to bring in, store and distribute equipment to nearby projects quickly and efficiently. The additional space also provides a subleasing opportunity for clients in a secure site with 24/7 port patrol.

Mammoet announced its partnership with the Port of Freeport in 2013, a valuable addition to Mammoet's global network of terminals. The port is located three miles from the deeper waters of the Gulf of Mexico, has a channel depth of 45 feet and a deep berthing site measuring 630 feet by 170 feet with a depth of 70 feet, ensuring a fast and safe turnaround. In addition, a 600 ton capacity crawler crane is available on site to provide lifting services. Mammoet USA's headquarters is only 27 miles from the site allowing quick mobilization of equipment and personnel if needed. This port location offers 10 acres of usable space as well as two water ingress/egress locations conducive to roll on/roll off operations.

"There is strong economic expansion in the Gulf Coast Area and our customers are looking for the most efficient ways in which their plant construction and site maintenance can be accommodated. As many heavy and oversized components are sourced from outside the USA, Mammoet USA sees an increased demand for factory-to-foundation, trans loading and laydown services. We are happy to be able to offer this additional capacity that is part of a comprehensive service for the entire factory-to-foundation chain, with a single purpose - delivering all components safely and on time."
