Ploch to Lead Southwest Texas Operations at WSP

AUSTIN, TX Eric Ploch has been named Southwest Texas Area Manager at WSP USA. In his new position, Ploch oversees the firm's regional and project offices staffed by engineers, planners, technical experts, strategic advisors, and construction management professionals. He is also responsible for the development of local business and the successful execution of work for current and potential projects within Southwest Texas, with a focus on Austin, Texas, and San Antonio, Texas. 

Ploch has more than 25 years of consulting experience, specializing in the management of complex transportation programs and projects. His expertise includes implementation of interstate, freeway, arterial, and tolled facilities with responsibilities extending over the entire project lifecycle from conceptual feasibility/planning through operations and maintenance. 

Prior to joining WSP, Ploch worked closely with the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA), Texas Department of Transportation, Missouri Department of Transportation, and numerous other clients. He previously served as a Program Manager for CTRMA, overseeing a multidisciplinary team responsible for supporting the development and delivery of several key regional mobility projects in the Authority's program including 290 Toll, 183 South, and the Oak Hill Parkway representing over $1.8 billion in improvements.

A licensed professional engineer in Texas and Missouri, Ploch received Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Missouri. He is a member of the International Bridge, Tunnel & Turnpike Association and a past board member of ACEC Texas. He is also active in supporting youth sports.
