Lory selected as HNTB Southeast Division Tolls Practice Leader

LAKE MARY, FL — Chris Lory, PE, PMP, Vice President, was named HNTB Corporation’s Southeast Division Tolls Practice Leader. Lory is a Program Manager with 30 years of experience in delivering complex transportation projects ranging from conceptual design through construction completion.
Based in the firm’s Lake Mary office, Lory works regionally, leading efforts to expand toll services to clients in HNTB’s four-state Southeast Division. He oversees the firm’s commitment to innovation and service to existing clients. Lory also serves as a subject matter expert providing insights into a wide variety of tolling topics and issues.
“Tolls bring a multitude of benefits to regional transportation networks, including long-term revenue, enhanced mobility and reduced congestion,” said Kevin Hoeflich, PE, HNTB Chairman Toll Services and Senior Vice President. “Chris has spent his entire career empowering public-sector agencies to find solutions to complex infrastructure issues, and uses that experience to help our toll clients realize the full benefits of their systems.”
During his career, Lory also has successfully led urban reconstruction, toll facilities, new limited access roadways, interstate reconstruction and complex interchanges.
Prior to his new role, Lory served as HNTB’s Florida Construction Services Office Leader for the past five years. Earlier in his career, Lory spent 10 years with Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, serving as Program Director for its General Engineering Consultant Program for part of that time.
A registered Professional Engineer, Lory is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. He dedicates time to his profession through involvement in such organizations as the American Society of Civil Engineers; Florida Engineering Society; the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association; American Council of Engineering Companies; and others.
