INDIANAPOLIS, IN Beth Wood, AIA, was named Membership Development Director for the American Institute of Architects Indiana Chapter (AIA).
In this new position for AIA, Wood will work with the more than 700 members of the statewide architecture trade organization.
Wood, of Noblesville, Indiana, is a registered architect who has experience at two of the city's largest architecture firms - Schmidt Associates and BSA LifeStructures. At Schmidt, Wood was most recently business development director for the higher education market. She started working at BSA LifeStructures as a Project Architect and then became the Director of Talent Management and later Director of Corporate Communications.
Wood is also a former adjunct professor at Ball State University College of Architecture and Planning, where she also received her bachelor's and master's degrees in architecture.
"As AIA Indiana continues to grow and evolve, it was important we bring someone on board who understands the industry and can work directly with our members to make sure we're providing valuable and relevant programs and services," said Jason Shelley, Executive Director of AIA Indiana. "Beth will be a great asset in helping us do just that."
