INDIANAPOLIS, IN The American Council of Engineering Companies of Indiana (ACEC) is coordinating with Citizens Energy Group, Indianapolis Department of Water and the Indiana Department of Transportation to reach out to students during National Engineers Week that occurs February 20-24.

The organization is asking for 50 ACEC Indiana members to volunteer to be paired up with CEG, DPW or INDOT staff and make a presentation at an Indianapolis, Indiana, area middle or high school.

Presentations will focus on real world perspectives about careers and engineering and answer any questions that students may ask. ACEC is working with "Project Lead the Way" to find appropriate schools and classrooms to visit during the week. ACEC will provide further resources to assist in the presentations.

ACEC will host a Volunteer Information Luncheon on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, at the ISTA Conference Room, located at 150 W. Market St. Indianapolis, Indiana, 46204 (on the second floor). Prior to this luncheon, prospective volunteers will receive a listing of all available schools and dates/ times that are available so that convenient logistics can be determined.

Volunteers will receive 1 PDH credit for their involvement.
