IMS Plays Host to Events Throughout the Month of May

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The Indianapolis Motor Speedway becomes the entertainment capital of the world during the month of May. The track comes alive with the piercing noises of Indycars and loudspeakers detailing the drama as it unfolds. The infield of the track plays host to many guests, including those in the construction industry.
Patterson Horth and AIA Indiana teamed up to showcase the latest in commercial paint applications with Sherwin-Williams and the latest in virtual reality and augmented reality MBCI. Nucor was also on hand to give a demonstration on pre-fabricated metal roofing the new methodologies they’re using to expedite the process.
Indycar driver Stefon Wilson was also on hand to speak of his time behind the seat and how the redesigned cars feel compared to past iterations of the Indycar chassis. Wilson is racing this year on behalf of his older brother Justin Wilson who was tragically killed during an Indycar race in 2015. Justin was a donor and because of that, he was able to save five lives. Stefon is racing to support the Indiana Donor Network and has been showcasing how important it can be to register as a donor. Stefon will be racing in this year's Indianapolis 500 with his car liveried by the Indiana Donor Network - Driven to Save Lives.
All the events had food catered by the track and we’re held in the shadow of the famous Pagoda that dominates the skyline at the track.
