DALLAS, TX — MYCON General Contractors, Inc. (MYCON) recently started constructing Brazo Transit District's new corporate headquarters in Bryan, Texas. The Coordination Complex is funded by: the Federal Transit Administration (26 percent), Brazos Transit District (24 percent), and Texas Department of Transportation (50 percent).

After writing six different grants and four years of planning, the Brazos Transit District will have a 100 percent Americans with Disabilities Act compliant building. This building will serve 16 different counties and house all administrative, training, and operation resources for Brazos Transit District.

The new Coordination Complex, deemed The Tate, is named after and dedicated to the former City of Bryan Mayor, Marvin Tate. Tate served the City of Bryan as Mayor from 1985 to 1995.

The 11,518-square-foot Coordination Complex will have offices, meeting spaces, a board room, and lobby space highlighting the district's local history. Integrated technology, built-in accessibility features, and an adaptable board room are a few highlights. This building will have solar panels to provide a portion of the utility load for the building, making it a green and environmentally-friendly building.
