CHARLOTTE, NC — Balfour Beatty promotes Trent Johnson to Vice President of Operations in the Carolinas. In his new role, Johnson will lead and grow the company’s local aviation sector across North and South Carolina.
Johnson brings 19 years of experience in the construction industry, including more than 12 and a half years with Balfour Beatty. During his tenure with the company, he has contributed to the successful delivery of 22 aviation projects, ranging from targeted renovations to complex, multi-phase programs.
In his new position, Johnson will continue to support Balfour Beatty’s established aviation clients while expanding the company’s presence at additional regional and international airports throughout the Carolinas. His focus remains on supporting project teams as they navigate the demands of active airport environments, maintaining an emphasis on safety, operational continuity, and stakeholder coordination.

Johnson holds a degree in construction engineering management from North Carolina State University.
