Carr Joins HGA as Senior Project Manager

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — HGA welcomes Max Carr, AIA, LEED AP, as Associate Vice President and Senior Project Manager in Minneapolis. He will direct team processes for the office's Public | Corporate group serving clients throughout Minnesota and the Upper Midwest.
Carr has more than 15 years of experience designing a range of project types nationally, including multifamily residential, mixed-use, educational, commercial, health care, and hospitality. His expertise includes project management, design, sustainability, and master planning.
Before joining HGA, he was Lead Architect with Design by Melo, where he contributed to the design of a proposed affordable mixed-use housing development that supports locally owned businesses in South Minneapolis. He previously was an Architect with FXCollaborative in New York, working on residential, affordable housing, commercial, mixed-use, and academic projects.
Carr's new position marks a return to HGA, where he developed his design skills as an Architectural Intern in the Milwaukee office from 2006 to 2007. He and his wife decided to return to their Midwest roots two years ago, moving to South Minneapolis with their daughter.
He has a Master of Architecture from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and a Bachelor of Arts in architectural studies and Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Kansas.
