DENVER, CO — Industry veteran, Conor Ryan, was recently awarded Committee Chair of the Year by the Colorado Association of Healthcare Engineers and Directors (CAHED). Ryan currently serves as Business Development Manager for Ross & Baruzzini. He has served on various volunteer boards for over five years, primarily in the event planning space.

“I like connecting with people, and working with CAHED allows me to do that while continuing to grow personally and professionally in the world of healthcare design,” Ryan said.

Ryan serves as the Chair of the Social Events Committee, which is responsible for planning CAHED’s social/networking events for the year. The committee elevates the member experience by running social events, such as hikes and baseball games, that add value to the membership. The goal is to give back to the membership and make sure members feel engaged and that they are getting value from the organization.

“In an industry where people work so hard, we try to create relaxing and fun events where our colleagues can get to know each other better without the project related stresses that we all deal with in our day-to-day lives,’ Ryan said. ‘I wanted to get involved to continue to learn about the healthcare industry as well as to give back to those who have given me so much.”

CAHED’s mission is to advance the development of effective healthcare management in the areas of engineering, facilities management, safety and biomedical engineering by providing educational opportunities and stimulating the exchange of information among healthcare professionals.
