TCC Appoints Murray-Coleman as Director of Sustainability
DALLAS, TX — Trammell Crow Company (TCC) announces that James Murray-Coleman has been appointed as the firm's Director of Sustainability to focus on developing and implementing an effective sustainability strategy for the firm.
“The Director of Sustainability role is a key milestone for TCC on our journey to be the leader in sustainable development,” said Adam Weers, Chief Operating Officer of TCC. “James is a perfect fit for this position, as he has a deep understanding of sustainable building design and construction. He has acted as a sustainability advisor on a number of our projects over the years and is a skilled and thoughtful developer whose partnership continues to drive our business forward.”
As Director of Sustainability, Murray-Coleman will serve as the leader for TCC's sustainability efforts globally, including the activation of TCC's recently announced partnership with Altus Power. He will be responsible for developing a vision for TCC as a leader in sustainability; establishing a plan for the firm to set, measure, and report on visible sustainability goals/targets; and collaborating with in-house teams, TCC leadership, and capital and corporate partners to pursue new strategies and to implement best practices in sustainability performance measurement and education.
“In this new role, I look forward to partnering with our capital partners and our TCC teams across the world to evaluate and put into practice new and aggressive sustainability strategies that will not only meet current market demands, but also exceed future market expectations,” Murray-Coleman said.
Murray-Coleman joined TCC in 1998 and previously served as a Senior Vice President with the firm's NE Metro office. Murray-Coleman is a LEED Accredited Professional with degrees in civil and architectural engineering, specializing in building energy and solar engineering.
