DALLAS, TX — The Underground Construction Technology Association (UCTA) selects Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) engineers Justin Reeves, P.E., and Elaiza Alvarez, P.E., to serve on its National Board of Directors.

Reeves was previously the UCTA North Texas Chapter President and was elected to be the UCTA National President at the last meeting in 2021. Alvarez has acted as a Board Trustee member for the UCTA South Texas Chapter since 2019 and has been elected as the UCTA South Texas Chapter Vice President. These appointed positions add Reeves and Alvarez to the National Board of Directors.

As National President and Vice President, Reeves and Alvarez will attend all chapter meetings, which are forums for members to share information and discuss developments of construction techniques, supervise all officers and employees of UCTA, and see that resolutions of the national board are carried out.

“UCTA is an excellent organization that brings owners, engineers, and contractors in the utility industry together better than any other organization that I have seen,” Reeves said. “And it is an honor to be elected to support at a national level after previously serving the North Texas Chapter during a time of investment in our nation's infrastructure that we haven't seen in decades.”
